How does this work?
In-Home Pregnancy Care
Starting as early as 6 weeks, you'll receive personalized prenatal care in the comfort of your home. Routine visits are scheduled every 4 weeks through 28 weeks of pregnancy, then every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and weekly until labor. Additional visits are scheduled as needed.
Labor and Birth in the Hospital
Sherry does not hold hospital privileges to serve as the primary provider during labor and delivery. Throughout your pregnancy, your medical records will be available to Memorial University Medical Center OBs if needed, and a copy of your records will be forwarded to the labor unit at 37 weeks. When you think you're in labor, you'll contact Sherry for guidance on when to head to the hospital. Sherry will speak with the on-call MD to provide a status update. Once admitted, the on-call physician will oversee labor and delivery care.
In-Home Postpartum and Newborn Care
Postpartum care is conveniently provided at home after discharge from the hospital. Sherry will visit at 1 and 6 weeks. Additional visits can be arranged if needed or desired. Each visit includes assessments and education for both mother and baby. A referral to a lactation consultant will be made available if warranted.
